Lady Dexter

Lady Dexter was bred here at Carnakilly. She is sired by Dexter Leam Pondi, one of the most esteemed Connemara stallions in the world. Dexter Leam Pondi has earned numerous international titles and is widely regarded as one of the most successful ponies to have competed at the Grand Prix level in Europe. Her dam is our former broodmare, Carnacastle Lady (Jack’s Promise). Dexter is also the maternal sister of the HOYS Showjumper, Loobeen May.

In 2019, Lady Dexter and her foal, Carnakilly Lady Rose, qualified for the HSI Foal Championships in the Pony Showjumping section at Roscommon Show. Lady Dexter is the dam of the Grade A Showjumping pony, Carnakilly Riley, and also the dam of Carnakilly Lady Doris, the 5-year-old Dutch Champion in 2023.

Dexter’s progeny have been exported worldwide, with Carnakilly Lady Grace and Carnakilly Fire Cracker now in the UK, Carnakilly Lady Doris in Holland, and Carnakilly Lady Rose in Germany.
