We are a family with a passion for Connemara ponies, located in the stunning village of Eglinton with a view of the Donegal hills. We specialise in breeding and producing top class Connemara ponies.

 

We have been breeding and producing showjumping ponies and horses for over 40 years. We have competed in Show Jumping and Working Hunter competitions including the Royal Dublin Horse Show and the Royal Agricultural Balmoral show.

Our History

Our breeding programme is dedicated to producing a top-quality Connemara pony that excels in all performance areas. We aim to produce versatile, talented ponies that can thrive in various disciplines, with many of our Connemaras starting to go across the water to the UK, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Netherlands. 

Standing our own Class 1 Connemara stallion at Stud, Carnakilly Mac Guire who won the Irish Green Hunter final at the prestigious Clifden Connemara Pony Show in 2019. He is a full brother to Lady Mirah who has showjumped to FEI level in Denmark.

Having produced RDS, RUAS Balmoral and Clifden winners, to name a few of our successful wins most recently with Fanad Romeo who won at the RDS in 2019. We have had nine previous Clifden wins in the ridden, working hunter and loose jumping categories with Carnakilly Finn, Carnakilly Mac Guire, Carnakilly Empress, White Star, Golden Island Sparky, Bally G. Comet, L’ Tara’s Jenny and, Fanad Romeo. Most recent win with Mai of Deerpark in the All Ireland 4yo Loose Jumping Championships.

Former homebred pony, Bally G. Ash, won the Connemara Ridden Championship at Royal Agricultural Balmoral Show on three occasions. Across the water we have had success with homebred Connemaras, Loobeen May and White Diamond successfully qualifying for the Horse of The Year Show.
